Quiz Content

The quiz will cover all content from the beginning of the course until the day of the quiz. Review the class schedule for a detailed list of topics and readings.
The quiz will measure your understanding of the course concepts. As such, you will not be asked to write any code, but may be asked to interpret code and output.

You will be given a full 50 minutes to write the quiz.
The quiz may contain a combination of multiple choice and free-response questions.
The review problems posted on the course website are a good indicator of the type of questions to expect. Be prepared to perform similar calculations.

Writing utensil.
- Please no red pen.
Calculator. A graphing calculator is useful but not necessary. Your calculator should be able to perform:
- Combinations.
- Exponents.
- Logarithms.
- Etc.

All answers must be reasonably simplified. Answers cannot contain combinations, they must be calculated.
Where appropriate, decimals answers should contain four significant digits.
Where appropriate, final answers must be written in the space provided.
Grading will be done as follows:
- A correct answer, supported by correct calculations and explanations will receive full credit.
- An incorrect answer supported by substantially correct calculations and explanations will receive proportionally appropriate partial credit.
- A correct answer, unsupported by calculations, explanation, or algebraic work will receive no credit.
If you arrive late, you must find a seat before you are given an quiz. Find a seat and raise your hand.
Do not mark on your quiz after time has been called.
- Failure to adhere to this policy will likely result in an quiz grade of 0.
- Anything you write in a few seconds after time has been called could gain you at most 1-2 points because of the partial credit policy. So, is it worth the risk?
- With one minute left, the most important thing you can do is check that your name and NetID are on your quiz
Do not speak to your classmates until you have left the room after you have completed the quiz. This continues to apply after time has been called.

In short, don’t cheat. Keep your eyes on your own quiz Any violation will be punished as harshly as possible.
