Column Naming

This page compares the column names used in the tables from three sources:

• Python: Column names used in pylahman
• README: Column names documented in the Lahman Database README
• R: Column names in the Lahman R package

We have attempted to use well-chosen names in pylahman that are both internally consistent, while not deviating from the source README or the popular R package. Accomplishing this is not entirely possible. As such, the following tables summarize the discrepancies between the three sources. An empty cell indicates the column is not present in that source. Unlisted tables or column names indicate that all three sources currently agree.
